In commemoration of the 10th anniversary of lives lost and the brave service by emergency service personnel during the attacks of September 11, 2001, a number of pastors and churches in the western Rockingham County area will hold a worship service at the Elliott Duncan Memorial Park in Mayodan, NC on Sunday, September 11 at 6:00 p.m.

The Rev. Perry Webster, Madison Chief of Police and Pastor of Burning Bush Holiness Church, will be the keynote speaker. The McMichael High School ROTC will present the colors. Members of the Rockingham Community Band and other guest musicians will provide music.

Those attending are asked to bring their own chairs. In the event of inclement weather, the service will be held in the Mayodan United Methodist Church sanctuary located across the street from the park.
