WHAT’S THAT BACKGROUND?
You may notice the background on these pages uses an unusual graphic. It’s called the Moravian Seal. It was developed several hundred years ago and has evolved into a variety of styles. You can find it in windows, as jewelry, carved into wood and engraved into grave markers.
The design is of a lamb carrying a Christian flag. It represents Jesus Christ whom John the Baptist announced with the words: “Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.”
Many versions of the seal include the words around the graphic: Our Lamb Has Conquered–Let Us Follow Him. These words call for us to follow our Savior wherever He leads us. We should not be afraid or shy away from His leading, for He has conquered everything–even death itself.
